All in all we are very pleased with every aspect of the alarm system thus far and if the complimentary service I've had with CS to date is anything to go by I don't see any issues going forward. We purchased the Yale IA-320 Alarm with the additional 3 pack Motion Detector Kit AC-3PIR and the HD1080 WiFi Indoor Camera SV-DFFI-W as our previous alarm system had packed up after 15 years. I love the convenience of being able to isolate specific sensors whilst leaving everything else fully armed.
I had an older version of this alarm and it has worked perfectly well, but I wanted an internet connected system, and also one with a longer range so I could include my shed which is at the bottom of my garden. This alarm works well and easily reaches my shed, as well as allowing me to use it via the internet on my android phone app. Go to the Philips Hue mobile app and confirm you're able to control your lights via the Philips Hue mobile application. As a smart bulb Hue lighting can work with other smart home devices, and that includes smoke detectors. It might seem odd how these two devices can work together but actually it is a very useful feature and one that you hope you never have to see in action.

Another exciting bit about knowing your way on how to pair Philips hue with Google home is that it allows you to gain as much control using your voice. When you have pre-set all the desired preferences on your hue app, you can give voice commands such as “Hey, Google. Turn on the living room lights and set them to blue” on your Google Home smart speaker. After this, check to ensure the hue bulbs are plugged and switched on as required. On the settings page of your Philips hue app, select the ‘add light’ option.

Does not seem to be able to relink after unlinking. Link to rooms – Google use their own room groups so you will need to go through each bulb and tag it to a room. Click the bulb and then select a room, and click done. Below you can see all the bulbs now tagged to a room. As well as the announcement for new lights Hue is also adding in new functions that work with Google Assistant. You will be able to set Hue lights to sync with your morning alarm so your lights gradually light up as they would in sunrise mode. With smart home voice controlled assistants you can control your Philips Hue lights by telling Google to turn them on using your Google Home. Just say ‘Ok Google, turn on my living room lights’ and your lights will turn on.

And Philips Hue Bridge was connected to my Google Home. I could control my lights and switches just fine. Once all added you are set to go, any voice commands used now should change your lights and turn them on and off. Plug the hub in, connect to broadband router, start taking battery isolation tabs out of equipment and mount them in place. It shouldn't take more than half an hour to mount two PIR sensors to the wall via screws and then sticky tab a door sensor and a keypad.
One thing to bear in mind - you need to have the control unit permanently plugged into a spare network port on your router / modem so bear this in mind. I have a google wi-fi mesh system and I plugged it into one of the nodes ports and it worked fine. On the hub, for the backup battery, there's a switch that needs to be toggled in order to enable the battery. The toggle label, unlike every other switch I've ever come across, gives instructions for using the switch rather than showing the state of the switch.

Although it may be annoying to some, you're reminded every time you look at your phone whether your house is armed, disarmed or part armed. I generally like my notification bar clean but I'm happy with this. It means when I am about to put my phone down and go to sleep, I am reminded that I need to set my alarm.
If you have set up Hue and added it to Google home then great, but what if you then add a new bulb in the future and you want to add this to Google Home. All in all, I've found this to be a great all round product. And not having to pay a subscription is a huge plus. The email notifications are basic, but I'm informed immediately if sensors are triggered or when the system is armed and disarmed. If you combine a system like this with some security cameras then you get the added bonus of looking to see if a sensor triggered accidentally or if it's something more malicious. Checking for false alarms is a doddle - Because you get notifications on the app / via SMS / Email etc...

You can use the IFTTT application to add more customized settings if need be. This application can help you introduce additional options as you learn how to pair Philips hue with Google Home. This feature is available for all smart lights, switches and plugs that are set up under the device type "Light" in the Google Home app. If your device doesn't support color, your lights will still brighten and dim.
