During your time at sea, embrace the opportunity to relax, recharge, and relish a luxury cruise vacation like no other. Celebrity Cruises delivers an elevated premium holiday experience across our fleet of ships traveling to nearly 300 destinations across more than 70 countries spanning all seven continents. Uniquely offering the intimate feel and thoughtful service of small ships, with the variety and excitement of bigger ones—you can explore the world or get away from it for a little while. With every detail elevated beyond expectations, you will never want to holiday any other way.

Drinking age

Finally, stay in one of the Iconic Suites, the largest in the Celebrity fleet, for the ultimate splurge. The Classic drink package includes most of the nonalcoholic drinks available in the Zero Proof package, except the specialty brands like Red Bull and premium waters. You'll get all beer, wine by the glass, spirits, cocktails and liqueurs priced at $10 or less. Additionally, you get a 15% discount off all bottles of wine, which you can enjoy anywhere on board, including in your cabin.

Celebrity Suites

I think if you were sailing with young children and were looking for a very kid-friendly experience you probably would be disappointed. Exclusive to guests of The Retreat, including a private restaurant, sundeck, lounge & more. Celebrity Ascent offers the widest range of staterooms and suites in our fleet.

Caribbean Weekend Escapes

While Signature Suite accommodations are on the smaller side, at 441 square feet, the 118-square-foot balcony still manages to include an outdoor tub with a rain shower so you can soak while taking in the views as you sail. They also include high ceilings, a shower/tub combo, and separate living and sleeping areas. In keeping with the ambiance on Celebrity Cruises' vessels, the brand's accommodations offer an elevated experience without going full-on luxury.

The immersive onboard experience includes nightly lectures by certified naturalists from Galapagos National Park, who will be on board the entire sailing. Enjoy postcard-worthy views from the Panorama Deck, or take a dip in the hot tub on the Sunrise Deck. Passengers can choose from a handful of elegant rooms and suites; however, those who want their own balcony will need to spring on the latter. Operating relatively big but not giant vessels, Celebrity offers an elegant, stylish product at a not-too-crazy-high price.

Onboard Packages

I recently found All Included upgrade prices as low as $35 per person, per night, which makes the drink package less than half price and Wi-Fi free. Once you have the Classic package in place through the All-In add-on, you can easily upgrade to the Premium drink package if you prefer. Many Celebrity cruisers have found it necessary to order their drinks specifically as "premium" beverages or to order by brand to avoid getting drinks made with the cheapest liquors. The Celebrity Summit does have pools and kids’ clubs, but there’s nothing exciting for kids like water slides or rock-climbing walls. We were sailing with only adults and loved the vibe and level of entertainment on the ship.

Celebrity Cruises prices

While it often markets itself as a "luxury" product, that's not really the case. However, it stands out among the mass-market lines for many of its upscale touches, from the many spacious suites on its ships and its impressive shipboard spas to its new, more all-inclusive fare structure. Other extra-charge venues found on at least some Celebrity ships include Raw on Five, which serves sushi and sashimi, and The Porch, which offers a raw bar with oysters and lobster rolls. Some ships feature a Parisian patisserie-like venue called Le Grand Bistro that offers light fare such as ham-and-cheese baguettes during the day and gourmet charcuterie and cheese boards with carafes of wine in the evening.

Airline Reward Programs

celebrtiy cruise

Le Petit Chef is well worth the added fee thanks to a combination of gourmet eats and exhilarating entertainment complete with tabletop animations. Finally, guests should consider booking a suite to access Luminae, a swanky restaurant that serves decadent dishes designed by acclaimed chef Daniel Boulud. Every Celebrity vessel has one and sometimes up to four main restaurants where meals are included in the fare, and these dining rooms are at the heart of the dining experience on Celebrity ships. Many passengers have all or most of their dinners in one of these main restaurants. They include two so-called Iconic Suites on each of the line's new Edge Class ships that measure more than 2,500 square feet, including outdoor balcony space.

Related Cruises

Although all of the ships' staterooms fall into the same general categories – insides, oceanviews, balconies and suites – the specific types of each vary across classes, particularly with regard to the most expensive options. If you're looking for a relatively big ship with lots of amenities that will offer a taste of the all-inclusive and upscale experience of a luxury line (without paying the sky-high fares of a luxury line), it's a fine choice. Just don't expect the sort of service levels that are found on true luxury lines such as Regent Seven Seas and Seabourn. Indeed, a Celebrity passenger staying in suites on relatively long sailings could hit the Elite level in just a few cruises.

In an effort to simplify choices, Celebrity Cruises offers just three beverage packages, including a Zero-Proof package for nonalcoholic drinks. To help you decide which (if any) package suits your needs and those of your travel companions, I've dug through the details and tested some of the options. Because we had booked the concierge level, we were invited to a sit-down lunch in the main dining room on embarkation day. This was such a nice, relaxing lunch, where we had the opportunity to sit and look at the schedule for our sailing and start planning our must-do activities.

It will let you surf the web, send messages and use social media apps (but not stream video). A much faster option called Xcelerate that allows for video streaming and video chats is available for an extra charge. In addition to entertainment spaces, the interiors of Celebrity ships are filled with other venues where passengers can kick back and let loose day and night, including some that are quite unusual. Every Celebrity vessel also has a casual buffet eatery where meals are included in the fare. Near the main pool area on ships, these are called Oceanview Cafe, and they typically offer a wide range of dishes.

While it doesn't draw as many families with young children as Royal Caribbean or Carnival, Celebrity offers an extensive children's program on ships that gets high marks from parents. The spas on Celebrity's new Edge Class vessels offer nearly two dozen treatment rooms, an extensive beauty salon and a thermal suite with heated stone beds, a Turkish-style steam bath, an infrared sauna and a meditation aromatherapy room. Every Celebrity ship also has at least a few extra-charge eateries. On many ships, you'll find the line's signature Italian restaurant, Tuscan Grille. It serves up handmade pasta, artisanal meats, flatbread pizzas, seafood and other Italian specialties in an elegant setting and comes with a flat fee of $30 per person.

Across the fleet, all ships offer connecting rooms, with some of the largest suites joining to sleep up to 10 people. The line also features special accommodations for solo cruisers on a small number of its vessels (specifics are noted below under applicable cabin categories). The cruise fare for a Celebrity cruise covers dining in several complimentary venues, including the Main Dining Room, Oceanview Cafe buffet restaurant, Spa Cafe, Mast Grill (on most ships) and Seaside Grill. Room service is also complimentary, except for the period between 11 p.m. Passengers staying at certain suite levels have additional complimentary dining privileges, and those staying in AquaClass rooms can dine in the Blu restaurant without charge. Last refurbished in 2018, Celebrity Xpedition was purposely built to cruise the Galapagos.

Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Panorama: An Infographic

Unlike other cruise lines, there was no single supplement to sail solo in my stateroom. This not only saved me money but precious square footage as my single cabin came with just one bed, as opposed to the usual two. This meant I had more room to spread out and I never felt cramped. I love to cruise, especially from my home base on the west coast to Mexico. I've boarded Norwegian, Princess, and Holland America ships, but my favorite vessel remains the Carnival Panorama. When the sun goes down, head to our Havana Bar to be transported to antebellum Cuba and take in a handcrafted Cuban cocktail while dancing the night away.

Carnival Panorama®: Kids’ Activities and Family Fun

Since her debut in December 2019, she has been homeported at the Port of Long Beach and sails week-long itineraries to the Mexican Riviera. The "Inaugural Cruise" was offered as a special voyage (3-day mini cruise) from Long Beach to Ensenada Mexico (December 11-14, 2019). Next tables show the ship's maiden voyages as call ports times as prices per person (USD, based on double occupancy Inside Cabin fares). IMAX Theater was introduced on Carnival Vista as the first ever IMAX at sea. It features 3-deck high screen for first-run movies, shown at the same time as mainstream releases.

Sky Zone Registration on Deck 7

That’s right, at the Carnival Seaside Theater, you can do just that! The Dive-In Movies on Carnival Panorama are the perfect place for a relaxing family night or a romantic date night. So, whether you enjoy comedy, action, or both, be sure to check the Fun Times program for the latest movie titles and showtimes playing on the big screen. Cloud 9 spa suites are designed with the ultimate in relaxation in mind and, as such, you’ll find that each is an oasis of quiet tranquility, with special features like extra space to get ready, double vanities and large balconies.

Enjoy all this and so much more on the beautiful Carnival Panorama and bring the whole family along to this friendly upbeat ship. Instead, I walk to the cultural centers, enjoy the beach for free, and simply take in the sights. There's no charge to enjoy the band or to sing karaoke, so I pop by randomly when I'm walking in that area of the ship. On the back of the Promenade deck is Havana Bar, a sleek venue where karaoke competitions take place, but I like to visit when the Latin band performs. I'm not much of a dessert person, but every time I sail on Carnival's Panorama, I stop by Java Blue Café for my favorite espresso drinks.

As with regular classes during the day, the evening class-and-dinner experience will be limited to 18 people at a time. It’s time to change your daily view and a cruise on Carnival Panorama will do just that. Expand your perspective and give your family ample time and space to wonder at the beautiful sights of Mexico on a cruise vacation. Reconnect, reinvigorate, recharge and remember why you love seeing the sparkle in your family’s eyes. It is common for cruisers to compare several ships before booking, especially when there’s some flexibility in the destination. Despite the differences in size and itineraries (Mardi Gras is bigger and sails to the Caribbean instead of the Mexican Pacific coast) these cruise ships are similar in many ways.

Explore the Ship on Day 1

While virtually all of the onboard activities and experiences are complimentary, the Sky Zone on Deck 7 is one venue that does have an up-charge. Starting at $12 for adults, this trampoline and challenge park offers one-hour sessions organized by age group. Little ones aged 6 months to 5 years old can enjoy toddler time, whereas children aged 6 to 15 have their own times, and then sessions for ages 15+ are available. Take a few moments to visit the youth areas and register your little ones. This is especially important for younger children who will be receiving a green wrist band.

Most beers at Carnival Panorama bars run from $6.25 to $6.75, while wine starts at $8 per glass ($28 for the least expensive bottle). One of the ways Carnival keeps its prices low (and they truly are low; Carnival is a top choice for budget-conscious cruisers) is by jamming a lot of people on its ships. Carnival has packed 2,004 cabins onto the vessel, which measures about 133,500 gross register tons (a measurement of interior space).

Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Panorama, has hit the Pacific Ocean. This final Vista-class ship offers several of the cruise line’s staples as well as some new features of its own. We have just returned from a cruise on this new vessel and have put together our list of the Top Things to Do on Carnival Panorama to help with your cruise planning. This ship comes with tons of fun and activities for every cruiser, plus updated and luxurious amenities you’ll appreciate. For example, while predecessors had an IMAX theater (the first at sea!), Carnival Panorama offers a Sky Zone trampoline park.

In a rare development, the region is becoming the year-round home to the newest, snazziest vessel from cruise giant Carnival, the world's biggest cruise line by number of ships. Teens also get their own “parent-free” zones with Circle C® and Club O2®. At Circle C, for kids aged 12 to 14, the “C” stands for “cruise”, “chill” and “connect” with other travelers their age. Club O2 is for teens aged 15 to 17, with karaoke sessions, movies and even our own version of prom. A Caribbean theme and plenty of rum-based cocktails can be found at the RedFrog Rum Bar.

Carnival Panorama will debut in 2019, becoming the third of the popular 133,500-ton, 3,954-guest Vista-class series. She will be joining her acclaimed sisters, the Carnival Horizon and Carnival Vista. She boasts many of the same exciting features, including such Carnival favorites as an immense water park with adrenaline-inducing slides, a fun-filled recreation area and a thrilling bike ride experience "in the sky." Panorama is Carnival's first ship with "Carnival Kitchen" - a new dining venue (part of Horizons Restaurant / aft on Deck 4) dedicated to CCL's new culinary program with 15+ cooking classes led by the ship's chefs.

In the gym, you'll find a wide range of cardio equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowing machines. There's a studio in the middle of the gym for classes, most of which carry a fee. Sign-ups begin on the first day of the cruise and tend to book up early, so if you want to get your spinning fix, stop by shortly after boarding. Personal training and nutritional consulting are available for a fee. The Deck 5 "Lanai" provides shaded outdoor seating for the restaurants, but also a nice place to sit and relax in the daytime.

Look up and you’ll see the Twister Waterslide, Carnival’s swirling and twirling ode to high-speed aqua adventures. Booking a cruise on Carnival Panorama means you’ll hear your child exclaim, “Wow, I can’t believe a cruise vacation offers that! ” Let’s take a peek at all of the activities Carnival Panorama provides for both family bonding and kid-centered fun. Still, Carnival Panorama shows that the line's ships have much more to offer beyond late-night revelry (although there's plenty of that). It's a fantastic ship for families, as well as groups of friends or celebratory events, such as birthdays or reunions.

One particularly nice feature is the two bathrooms; one is more of a powder room, with just a sink and a tub, while the other is a full bathroom, but it makes getting ready for the day or bed with a family much easier. As mentioned, Carnival Panorama boasts more than 2,000 staterooms (inclusive of suites). These staterooms are on the modern side, with plenty of new features to love.

Since its launch in 2019, Carnival Panorama has been based out of Long Beach, California, and has served cruising itineraries to Mexico, including to Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. The ship also offers the occasional transpacific cruise to Singapore. Itinerary options range from as short as two days to a week or longer. The best thing about Panorama is that families have lots of choice -- whether that's to break off and do things on their own, or spend plenty of quality vacation time together. Kids aren't confined to just the clubs, and families don't have to scramble to find fun ways to bond. An idea as simple as movie night on the pool deck (complete with blankets, popcorn and blockbusters) is a reliable activity -- and most importantly, included in the cruise fare.

Seven Mile Beach

With close to 5 million passengers per year the Cruise Port of Miami is the busiest in the World. Both are worth a visit and in particular the Harvey's Gallery as this is probably one of the largest and best collections of the artist's work you will see in the Caribbean. On the next block, Guy Harvey also gives the name to an excellent restaurant with wonderful views - entrance on side street (Merrendale Dr). On the same block, the cruise traveler will not miss the Harley Davidson shop, the Blue Iguana Souvenir Outlet and the Church of God Full Gospel Hall. The upper floors of the first building are occupied by Breezes, a Tropical Grill also serving pizza that is popular with crew members.

Where to Eat and Drink in George Town Near the Cruise Port

The area gets its name from the abundance of starfish that call this place home. These stunning creatures, known for their vibrant colors and distinctive shape, can be found in the shallow, crystal-clear waters of the beach. Cheeseburger Reef is another popular snorkeling spot located 120 ft (36 m) from the shore near Burger King. It is recommended to access this reef from the Lobster Pot Dive Center, which is around 0.6 miles (0.8 km) from the cruise port in George Town.

Tour the Island

It’s important to practice responsible tourism and conservation when visiting Starfish Point. Avoid touching or removing the starfish from the water for extended periods, as this can cause stress to these delicate creatures. Respect their natural habitat and remember that they are living beings deserving of our care and protection. While Hell may be a small and relatively quick stop, it offers a quirky and memorable experience that is sure to leave an impression. Snap photos among the black limestone formations, send a postcard to remember your visit, and appreciate the fascinating natural beauty of this unique geological wonder. Rum Point is not just about water activities and beach bliss – it also offers a range of other amenities.

Grand Cayman Tourist Attractions

Take a leisurely walk along the shore and keep your eyes peeled for these mesmerizing creatures. You’ll often spot them clinging to the sea floor, gracefully moving with the ebb and flow of the tide. It’s a magical sight to see the starfish in their natural environment, effortlessly blending with the surrounding seagrass and providing a vivid burst of color. If you’re looking for a slice of paradise on Grand Cayman, look no further than Rum Point. Located on the tranquil northern coast of the island, Rum Point is a secluded and idyllic beach that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and thrilling water sports.

As you disembark at Georgetown cruise port, you’re greeted with a vibrant and friendly atmosphere that is characteristic of the Caribbean. Simultaneously, the port area thrives with contemporary life, bustling markets, and waterfront dining, offering a taste of the local cuisine against a backdrop of stunning ocean views. Take the time to appreciate these public art installations and capture photos to commemorate your visit. If you’re a fan of art, make sure to visit the Cayman Islands National Gallery. This gallery showcases the work of local and international artists and offers a glimpse into the vibrant and diverse art scene of the Cayman Islands. From paintings and sculptures to mixed media installations, there’s something to inspire every art enthusiast.

Snorkeling

After arriving in George Town, you’ll notice that the city’s main attractions are conveniently situated within walking distance of the cruise port. However, some shore excursions, such as Pageant Beach and The National Gallery, might require taking a taxi. If you plan to explore attractions located at a distance from the port, taxis are an ideal choice.

All cruise ships will anchor in the large bay right in front of George Town and double decked local boats will take passengers to one of the 3 piers-terminals right by the city. Regardless of the Pier/Terminal used, as you walk out the exit gates, the cruise traveler will be on the main road - Harbor Drive. To get to the Wreck of the Cali, all you have to do is turn left upon exiting the terminal, walk along the main street for less than 5 minutes and you’ll spot the fish market. Opposite the market, there is Rackham’s dock, from where you can swim to the wreck that is located 40 yards off the shore. It lies at a depth of ft and is easily spotted as the water is quite calm and clear.

These two iconic shipwrecks are waiting to be discovered beneath the island’s coastal waters. You might also want to dive into the vibrant Great Barrier Reef for a breathtaking underwater experience, or head to Starfish Point for an encounter with colorful red and orange starfish. Hell is a popular, uniquely named natural attraction located around 25 minutes drive north of the cruise port. The name ‘Hell’ was chosen due to its resemblance to what people imagined hell to look like. Yes, there are numerous tour operators located at or near the cruise port offering a variety of tours, including city tours, snorkeling excursions, and visits to historical sites. Georgetown is not just a gateway to the Cayman Islands; it’s a vibrant mosaic of experiences.

George Town is full of banks, internationally recognized brand shops, liquor stores, restaurants, bars, and much more. Margaritaville, located a 5-minute walk from the terminal, is among the top choices for cruise passengers. George Town is a tender cruise port, which means that the cruise terminal doesn’t have docking facilities for the cruise ships.
